Volunteer Help Needed for Saturday, 12/15

Posted December 11, 2007

Saturday should be another big sales day for us.  Currently, we could use a few more adult volunteers for the Saturday 6 - 9 PM shift. We have one adult and three terrific Blanchet students working that evening, but 2 - 4 more adults would be ideal because it can get very busy on Saturday nights. Please consider volunteering. Also, if you want to work a shift during the day, but there are no open slots for that shift, just show up and add your name to the list! Thank you and thank you for all of your awesome Christmas spirit!

Greetings from Tree Lot Operations!

Greetings from the Tree Lot! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with set up last Saturday and who have signed up for Tree Lot shifts. The trees look great, the Christmas music is filling the air, and it has only rained once!  We are going into the first big weekend of the sale and are fully staffed all the way through December 8th.  With over 400 shifts filled, it looks like we are in great shape through the next two weekends and will post another staffing update then. A big Thank You to all the volunteers who have signed up and showed up!

A reminder on parking: When you show up for your shift PLEASE DO NOT PARK ANYWHERE IN THE SAFEWAY PARKING LOT!  Management at Safeway has graciously asked us to leave the available parking spaces open for customers. One of our volunteers received a parking ticket today. Please park on the street - thank you!

Now that we’ve cakewalked at Westfest and renewed all our magazines, it’s time to break out the holiday cheer! Just what you’ve been waiting for ~ the First Tree Lot Committee Meeting of the season. Even with last winter’s “unpredictable” weather, we achieved the second highest volume Tree Lot season in history. Let’s make this year the best ever. Many Tree Lot veterans have graduated or will be graduating soon and we look forward to sharing Tree Lot cheer with a new generation of Tree Lot elves. If you are a returning Tree Lot Committee veteran or a Tree Lot newbie looking to join the committee that puts the “FUN” in fundraising, please come. Next Monday, October 1, 7 PM at our home (email for directions). Of course, “Tree Lot Cheer” will be served. For questions, please contact . Thank you and HO HO HO!
